Patricia Garnier

Patricia Garnier

Director of the PEPR FairCarboN

Patricia is a Research Director at INRAE, within the ECOSYS Joint Research Unit (INRAE, AgroParisTech, Université Paris‑Saclay). She holds a PhD in Soil Science from the University of Nancy. She served as head of the “Sol&Tox” team within the ECOSYS unit from 2019 to 2023. She has extensive experience in managing national and international research projects. Her research focuses on modelling transfers and transformations in soils related to soil organic carbon content. She is the author or co‑author of around 90 articles published in international peer‑reviewed journals.

Pierre Barré

Pierre Barré

Director of the PEPR FairCarboN

Pierre is a Research Director at CNRS and is affiliated with the Geology Laboratory of the École Normale Supérieure. He is a biogeochemist specializing in the dynamics of soil organic carbon. His work ranges from studying the mechanisms of organic‑matter stabilization at the nanoscale to analysing carbon‑stock changes at the European scale. Before taking on the co‑leadership of FairCarboN, Pierre Barré coordinated several national and European projects focused on agricultural and forest soils.

Perrine Franquet

Perrine Franquet

Chief executive

Perrine is a research engineer. As the manager of the FairCarboN PEPR, she contributes to defining and implementing the programme’s strategic orientations (planning, monitoring of activities, etc.) in support of its leadership. Before joining INRAE’s PEPR Support Unit, she held positions in project management and communication in various professional settings, developing cross‑cutting expertise that combines scientific coordination, management and knowledge dissemination.

Communication officer

Claire is a communications officer responsible for promoting the outputs and research activities of the FairCarboN programme. Event organisation, website management, newsletters, videos, social media, graphic design and public‑facing communication all fall within her scope, and she supports both the internal and external communication of the programme.

Jérôme Dutroncy

Jérôme Dutroncy

Research Engineer - in charge of "transverse animation about data management"

Jérôme is a versatile support resource for all PEPR projects on matters related to research data. He assists projects in developing their Data Management Plans and in identifying the codes and software they produce. This involves raising awareness about various tools, particularly those within the Open Science ecosystem: the HAL archive, Recherche Data Gouv, Software Heritage, as well as delivering original webinars on digital‑science issues. He also contributes to promoting the programme by showcasing its results.
