Feedback on the CANETE 2025 Annual Meeting

The CANETE project's annual meeting was held via videoconference on 7 March, one year after the kick-off meeting in Reims. It brought together around 40 participants from the consortium, the international steering committee, the ANR and the FairCarboN programme.

Discussions focused on the progress of the project. Mubarak Mahmud, a postdoctoral researcher, presented his research on nitrogen use efficiency at the ecosystem level, and Charlotte Stutzmann, a research engineer, presented her work on protein depolymerisation and microbial assimilation of amino acids in soil.

News about the FairCarboN programme was shared, and a meeting was scheduled to update the project's data management plan.

Two workshops marked the day: one devoted to preparing the 2025 field campaign, the other to modelling, with a focus on simulated processes, data requirements and differences between models.
