MOOC - Carbon storage in ecosystems

This MOOC will be available from 6 November to 16 December 2023, with registration until 21 November.

Carbon storage is one of the key issues in adapting to climate change. Given this and the major role played by local and regional authorities in designing and implementing these solutions, ADEME and Agreenium have co-created a dedicated MOOC: ‘Carbon storage in ecosystems: from challenges to solutions for local and regional authorities’.

This course, initially open in 2021, has been updated with the latest knowledge in 2023, to offer a second session open from 6 November to 16 December 2023, with a registration deadline of 21 November.

Over a 4-week period, weekly sessions will provide an overview of carbon storage as a whole, as well as the proper management of urban, agricultural and forest land, which is proving to be a key issue in the transition.

Aimed primarily at local and regional players involved in adapting to climate change, but open to anyone with an interest, the aim at the end of the course is to have acquired :

the basic knowledge required to understand the challenges of carbon storage in ecosystems; mastery of how to carry out a carbon sequestration analysis for a local authority; be able to visualise the levers and methods of action available to local authorities.
