The SLAM-B project is recruiting a PhD student : Modelling and assessing the sustainability of bioeconomy scenarios in contrasting large-scale territories, France and Europe.

Job description :

  • 36 months, desired start date: January 2026
  • PhD affiliated with the ABIES doctoral school, employer: University of Reims Champagne Ardenne
  • Based at the Fractionnement des AgroRessources et Environnement (FARE) joint research unit, Moulin de la Housse Campus, 51100 Reims, https://fare.nancy.hub.inrae.fr/; possibility of short stays or second part of thesis at UMR AGIR, INRAE Campus, 31320 Auzeville-Tolosane https://agir.toulouse.hub.inrae.fr/
  • Remuneration: €2,300 gross/month

Required profile :

  • Recommended education: engineering degree, master's degree in agronomy, environmental science or ecology.
  • Recommended knowledge: knowledge of cropping systems, water, nitrogen and carbon cycles, analysis and handling of large data sets.
  • Desirable experience: use of crop models, biomass recovery processes.
  • Required skills: Ability to work in a team, written and oral communication skills in French and English, analytical and critical thinking skills, ability to generate ideas.
