SOERE-PRO conference

[REGISTER NOW] Members of FairCarboN will be taking part in the SOERE-PRO conference on ‘Return of organic waste products to the soil’ organised by INRAE in October.

The symposium will be held at the Institut Agro in Rennes on 2 October 2024, and will be divided into 2 sessions:

    Session 1 : Presentation of results on various topics addressed by SOERE PRO: N2O emissions, contaminants (microplastics), multi-criteria approach, use of remote sensing, etc.
    Session 2 : Soil biology and biodiversity components.

    A visit to the EFELE platform, the SOERE PRO site dedicated to livestock effluents, located near Rennes, will be offered on the afternoon of October 1.

SOERE-PRO is a network of experimental field sites studying the long-term effects of organic products on soil, plant, air and water quality. The network comprises 5 highly instrumented experimental sites, mainly cultivated with field crops and conducted in different agro-pedo-climatic contexts :

    QualiAgro (INRAE UMR EcoSys); located in the Paris basin and comparing various urban composts and a cattle manure.
    PROspective (INRAE SEAV Colmar); located in the Haut-Rhin in north-east France, comparing composted and non-composted products.
    EFELE (INRAE UMR SAS); located in Brittany comparing different livestock effluents and treatment processes.
    SOERE PRO Réunion (CIRAD Recyclage et Risque); located in Réunion, comparing livestock effluents and urban organic waste.
    SOERE PRO Sénégal (CIRAD Recyclage et Risque); site run with vegetable crops, comparing poultry manure, urban sludge and digestate.
